|Income Tax Disclosure [Abstract]|
|Income Taxes||Income Taxes
We are subject to U.S. federal and state taxes with respect to our allocable share of any taxable income or loss of Authentic Brands, as well as any stand-alone income or loss we generate. Authentic Brands is treated as a partnership for U.S. income tax purposes and for most applicable state and local income tax purposes and generally does not pay income taxes in most jurisdictions. Instead, Authentic Brands' taxable income or loss is passed through to its members, including us.
Our effective tax rate in 2022 differs from the U.S. federal statutory rate primarily due to changes in the valuation allowance and non-controlling interest.Based primarily on our limited operating history and Authentic Brands' historical losses, we believe there is a significant uncertainty as to when we will be able to use our deferred tax assets ("DTAs"). Therefore, we have recorded a valuation allowance against the DTAs for which we have concluded it is more likely than not that they will not be realized.
The entire disclosure for income taxes. Disclosures may include net deferred tax liability or asset recognized in an enterprise's statement of financial position, net change during the year in the total valuation allowance, approximate tax effect of each type of temporary difference and carryforward that gives rise to a significant portion of deferred tax liabilities and deferred tax assets, utilization of a tax carryback, and tax uncertainties information.
